Built adjacent to the sprawling California State University, Monterey Bay campus, The Dunes consists of the established 400,000 sq. ft. Marina regional shopping center, neighborhood retail and restaurants, an existing multi-screen movie theater, parks and recreational spaces, hotels, office and commercial space, schools, healthcare services, cobblestone bike trails and walking paths leading to hiking at Fort Ord National Monument, murals and other community artwork, and more — in addition to a growing number of upscale homes and other residential options.
Promenade Public Art Walk
Promenade at The Dunes is the heart of a contemporay coastal village anchored by a movie theater and Central Park at one end, and a specialty grocer at the other. In between, visitors discover a series of sculptures, mosaics, murals and graphic art installations brought together to communicate the coastal narrative, connecting the natural environment and this area with its military history.
